A Resource for Journalists and Policymakers to Change the Hepatitis C Narrative
Hepatitis C is the most deadly blood-borne disease in the US. Despite the availability of a cure, many people living with hepatitis C are being forced to “fail first” on old – and often painful – treatments or to wait for a cure until their liver disease is very advanced.
Through The Cure Campaign, an initiative launched and supported by GLI, we hope to create an environment that enables people living with hepatitis C to gain appropriate care without delay, restriction or burdens.
We are changing the environment by providing materials and guidance to empower patients and caregivers to become advocates, by encouraging influential media to cover this important topic, and by partnering with thought leaders and policymakers to support appropriate treatment.
